ICICI Securities Emerges Top Player In Primer Database League Tables

Mumbai: ICICI Securities (i-Sec) has topped the Prime Database League Tables for money mopped up via IPOs/FPOs. From January-June, i-Sec was involved in mopping up a total of Rs 23,700 crore via nine IPOs/FPOs. This represents a 76 per cent share of the total funds mobilised through IPOs/FPOs. In 2006, India Inc mopped up a total of Rs 12,530 crore through public offerings, while Rs 10,174 crore was raised in 2005 and Rs 19,190 crore in 2004. The Indian economy is growing at almost 10 per cent and this growth has fuelled a need for companies to raise capital.
