Skoda Car Prices Likely To Increase By Rs 20,000

Mumbai: SkodaIndia, a subsidiary of SkodaAuto of Czech Republic (Volkswagen Group), has decided to change the price due to the increasing input costs. A hike of up to Rs 20,000 is hoped on all models. The new pricing for Skoda cars will be applicable from January 1, 2008. The company has made efforts to keep the price increase marginal on all models after having analysed the additional costs. The price has been increased across all variants of Skoda under the broad category of Octavia, Laura and Superb. Currently, the price of Skoda Octavia variants is between Rs 10.5- 11 lakh and the price of Skoda Laura models is around Rs 15 lakh while the top-end Skoda Superb models cost above Rs 22 lakh.
