Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a contract worth Rs 3,390 crore for setting up two units of 500 MW each at Anpara D Thermal Power Station (TPS) in Uttar Pradesh. The units, ordered by Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL), are slated for commissioning in 2011-12. BHEL’s scope of work in the contract includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of boiler turbine generator package along with associated auxiliaries, balance of plant and civil works.
