KEC International Wins Power Grid Contracts Worth Rs 97 Crore

KEC International Ltd has announced that the Company has been awarded the contract by Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd for Supply and Construction of 400 KV Double Circuit Ranchi Rourkela Transmission line on turnkey basis. The value of the contract is Rs 56.87 Crores. The line is associated with East West Transmission Corridor Strengthening Scheme of Powergrid Network. The line is to be constructed in the states of Jharkhand & Orissa, the job involves supply of towers, line materials, erection and commissioning. The length of the line is 141 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by November 2009.

The Company has also been awarded a contract by Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd for Supply and Construction of 132 KV Single Circuit and Double Circuit Transmission line in North Bihar on turnkey basis. The value of the contract is Rs 40.66 Crores. The line is associated with Phase II project of Bihar Sub-Transmission System. The job involves supply of towers, Conductor, Insulator, other line materials, erection and commissioning. The length of the line is 150 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by July 2009.
