Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company, invited global bids for supply of power to its distribution license area in Mumbai. The company plans to procure power from the suppliers on round-the-clock basis for a period of 25 years.
As per the bid document, the successful bidders will be required to supply power within 48 to 60 months from the date of signing of the power purchase agreement with Reliance Infrastructure. The document also states that, the applications with a minimum capacity to supply 100 mw of power will be eligible to submit the bids.
The bid document, which has been priced at Rs 1 lakh, will be available for purchase from October 1 to 15.
Reliance Infrastructure intends to procure power on long-term basis through tariff-based competitive bidding process. For this, it will select bidders through a process of single-stage bidding.
